10 Golden Rules
The following words of wisdom have been spit out by our long-running Lomographic evolution for exactly one purpose: To erase all traces of your pre-existing photographic education (especially if you have one). Inhale them carefully and be prepared to forget everything you never wanted to know.
- Take your camera everywhere you go
- Use it any time – day and night
- Lomography is not an interference in your life, but part of it
- Try the shot from the hip
- Approach the objects of your Lomographic desire as close as possible
- “Don’t Think” (William Firebrace)
- Be fast
- You don’t have to know beforehand what you’ve captured on film
- Afterwards neither
- Don’t worry about any rules

Rule #03: Lomography is not interference in your life but part of it
Lomography doesn’t interrupt the direction in which your life is going; rather it’s a significant and integral part of it. Just like talking, walking, sleeping, eating, thinking, drinking, laughing and loving, Lomography is a colourful sign that you are alive.
